The first way to quickly wreck a new pair of lenses is by using the wrong type of eye drops. Read the back of the drops very carefully to see if they can be used with contact lenses. If you are in the habit of rubbing your eyes too much, this can damage your lenses. Try to avoid doing this not only for your lenses but for your eyes too as you can make your eyes appear red and puffy with all that rubbing.

When you put your contacts away in the case, always make sure that they are in the middle of the case and not still stuck to the sides. At times when putting the lids back on, especially the twist lids, the contacts can get stuck and torn. Get in the habit of double checking your lenses to ensure that they are in the middle as well as having enough contact solution in your case to float the lenses.
If you follow these tips, your contacts should last quite a bit longer and not be ruined as easily making sure you get the most usage for your money.
